Family tickets for the Last Supper
On the official Cenacolo Vinciano channel, under-18s generally qualify for free admission. The free ticket must be booked together with at least one full-fare or reduced-fare ticket (e.g. for a parent). So a typical family booking: one or two adult tickets (full or reduced, depending on eligibility) plus free tickets for children under 18. Everyone still needs a time slot; only the price for the child is €0. Bring ID for children if required by the museum.
Tips for visiting with children
The refectory visit lasts about 15 minutes and is in a quiet, climate-controlled space. Explain to kids beforehand that they’ll see a very famous painting and need to stay with the group and not touch anything. Bags and backpacks must be left in lockers at the ticket office. Arrive in good time to activate tickets (at least 30 minutes before your slot) and use the toilets if needed; once inside the refectory there’s no re-entry. For more on timing and rules, see Hours and Map & directions. The official museum sometimes offers workshop activities for families (ITA/ENG)—check the official site for dates and booking.
Combos and family-friendly options
If you’re spending the day in Milan, combo deals (e.g. Last Supper + Duomo, + walking tour) can be convenient. Check what’s suitable for children (e.g. duration, walking). See Combo deals and Discounts for who gets reduced or free entry.
